Ballerina Luiza Caldi was fired from Faustão na Band last week. She and 16 other dancers were dropped from the program. On social networks, Nicolas Prattes’ girlfriend said that the cuts were not a surprise.
“It doesn’t surprise me. I found little or no regard for dancers. But they never had anything. There are people who change a whole life, and in less than a month they send them away … But nothing new. Like that always has been,” said his followers.
“You have no idea what the dancers have been through this year. And the minimum thing a person needs to have to achieve anything in life is sanity and freedom,” he added.
In addition to the dancers, the show has laid off half of its makeup team, as well as production staff — an assistant director, a television director, and two content producers. One of the producers was even responsible for writing the leaves for Fausto Silva.
Only four dancers survived the cut: Jessica Vilela, Carol Amaral, Nicole Navarro and Stefani de Paula. Carol Amaral will continue to serve as the attraction’s interactive reporter. Two content producers, three production assistants and a costume designer had already been laid off last week.
This is the fourth cut the team has had since the attraction debuted in January this year. The new Faustão program had almost 300 professionals when it debuted.
The future of the attraction, which will be broadcast on tape Monday through Friday nights, is uncertain. The program also has two content directors, three program directors, an assistant director, a general director, a production director and an artistic director.
