NFL: Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers haven’t given up

Fans of veteran quarterbacks Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers have a lot to smile about as they follow the final weekend of NFL action.

Indeed, despite the records set by their respective teams, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Green Bay Packers, both men still have logical chances of advancing to the next playoffs. They have an identical record of 7-8, which still gives them hope of qualifying for the National Association, although the early months of the campaign have presented some difficulties.

In the case of the “Bucs” the finish line seems very close, the weakness of the southern section helps a lot. A win at the expense of the Carolina Panthers next weekend will confirm their conquest of the division title in Tampa Bay.

Brady, 45, also believes the 19-16 overtime win over the Arizona Cardinals reflects his team’s journey in 2022. Nobody threw in the towel in the dressing room. “This formation showed all their determination. We fought hard and while that 7-8 performance isn’t what we wanted, we have an opportunity to win a championship game next week,” the number 12 told NFL.com.

Not impossible but…

With the packers, the task seems more complicated, but not impossible. Currently out of the playoffs, they need to be perfect in their last two games against the Minnesota Vikings and Detroit Lions to keep their chances of promotion. They also need a misstep from the Washington Commanders, holders of seventh at the National, or two losses from the New York Giants, sixth.

“Many scenarios have turned in our favor. All games that were supposed to end right ended that way. We’re 7-8 and I’d rather be 10-5 or 11-4. However, considering where we were a few weeks ago [c’est très bien]… Rodgers told the media after the 26-20 win over the Miami Dolphins. There’s a lot to play now, but we played important games in December and won them all. We’ll be playing important games there in January that we have to win.
