Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa had a disastrous fourth quarter in Sunday’s loss to the Packers, throwing three interceptions in Miami’s 26-20 loss.
Tagovailoa detailed the three picks after the game, saying the first was a fall, the second was a miscommunication and the third – which fell on the Dolphins’ final drive when the club had a chance for a touchdown – was a bad throw.
“It was just awful how it all ended,” Tagovailoa said in his post-match press conference. “Like I said to the guys, that’s on me and I’ll definitely get better from it.”
Tagovailoa, with his three interceptions in the fourth quarter, was just 4 of 8 going 48 yards.
“It’s difficult. You have an opportunity to play against a really good team on Christmas day and I came out and I really wasn’t able to do my best for our team. But looking back, we have to be able to go through “Said Tagovailoa. “So for this game, I want this game to stand on its own. Of course, we’re going to learn from those mistakes.”
Tagovailoa and the dolphins have to learn fast. Miami has lost four straight games to drop to 8-7 and has a trip to New England next week. But if the Dolphins win their next two games, they’re in the playoffs.
“I would say it’s easy to maintain the confidence of this group,” said Tagovailoa. “I think we all believe in each other. I would say we all love each other. We are also all invested in each other.
“I don’t think it’s time to blink. We just keep going and we learn from it and we have another strong team to go and play to.
