ADVANCE OF RUSSIAN FORCES IN NEUTRAL

INDIAN SUPPORT TO UKRAINE
The President of Ukraine announced on Twitter that he had a phone call with Indian Prime Minister Narenda Modi on Monday. UKRAINIAN DRONE
Russia on Monday accused Ukraine of attacking its territory, specifically by launching a drone at an airbase on Russian territory hundreds of kilometers from the front lines and causing the deaths of three technicians. This is the second such operation this month.

UKRAINE DEMANDS RUSSIA’S EXCLUSION FROM UN

Russia’s FSB intelligence agency says it eliminated a Ukrainian “group of saboteurs” who were “trying” to enter Russia.
“Following armed clashes on December 25, four saboteurs were eliminated in an attempt to enter the territory of the Bryansk region from Ukraine,” the FSB, quoted by news agencies, told Russians. A video broadcast by this media and attributed to the FSB shows four bodies covered in blood, surrounded by weapons and dressed in winter camouflage uniforms.

PASCAL BONIFACE ON THE EXCLUSION OF RUSSIA FROM THE UN SECURITY COUNCIL
For Pascal Boniface, Ukraine’s motion to expel Russia from the UN Security Council has “no chance of success”. “Russia is a permanent member of the Security Council, so it will veto any resolution calling for its expulsion,” says the director and founder of IRIS on LCI.

THREE DEAD AFTER UKRAINIAN DRONE ATTACK
Russian air defenses shot down a Ukrainian drone as it approached an airbase in southern Russia, with debris from the plane killing three people on the ground, Russian news agencies reported on Monday.

UN SECURITY COUNCIL
Ukraine plans to call for Russia’s expulsion from the UN Security Council on Monday, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said on Sunday.
“Tomorrow (Monday) we will officially state our position. We have a very simple question: does Russia have the right to remain a permanent member of the UN Security Council and to be in the UN?” he said, speaking during a national TV marathon late on Christmas Eve.
