Terrorist Bolsonaro supporters charged in maximum security prison

The Federal District Civil Police (PCDF) confirmed this Monday that defeated President Jair Bolsonaro’s supporter was transferred on Sunday after he was interrogated and admitted his attempts to blow up a tanker truck.

To that end, Washington de Oliveira, 54, was formally charged with terrorism.

The Bolsonaro (supporter of the ex-military) is now being held in the Temporary Detention Center Number Two of Papuda, Botanical Gardens administrative area, on the banks of the highway that connects this capital with the mining community of Unaí.

According to PCDF Delegate General Robson Candido, the confessed criminal from the northern state of Pará came to Brasilia to take part in the demonstrations in support of Bolsonaro, which are taking place in front of the army headquarters to call for a coup and prevent the elected one from taking office President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva on January 1st.

Washington de Oliveira Sousa “is part of this movement in support of the current President. And they are there on this ideological mission, but it got out of hand and the police authorities, mainly here in Brasilia. We will take all measures,” he said.

Candido pointed out that “we will arrest anyone who violates the democratic rule of law, mainly with threats and now especially with bombs. There was no such thing in Brasilia and we will not allow any kind of demonstration that could harm people or public property,” he noted.

At the Bolsonaro’s residence, police found two shotguns, two revolvers, three pistols, a rifle, ammunition, camouflage uniforms and other explosive emulsions.

In this context, the future Justice Minister of the Lula government, Flavio Dino, this Sunday described the alleged attempt to blow up the armored vehicle as terrorism.
