Jake Gyllenhaal said it wasn’t easy filming intimate love scenes with Jennifer Aniston because he has a crush on the 53-year-old Friends star in real life.
The 42-year-old actor has opened up about filming the sex scenes when they faced each other as lovers in the 2002 film The Good Girl. The plot follows two lovers who embark on an affair after both are bored with their dead-end jobs and work environment.
In an interview on The Howard Stern Show, Gyllenhaal was asked by the host if it was “torture” to film love scenes with someone he loved in real life.

He jokingly responded to Howard’s question by saying, “It was torture, yes it was, but it wasn’t torture either. I mean come on It was like a mix of both.”
But he said that being the “mechanical nature” of love scenes, he luckily managed to hide his true feelings toward Jennifer well.
“Oddly, love scenes are awkward because there’s maybe 30, 50 people watching,” he said.
He explained that filming intimate scenes “is a dance, you choreograph it for a camera.”

Like torture: “Oh yes, it was torture, yes it was,” Gyllenhaal replied. “But it wasn’t torture either. I mean come on, it was like a mix of both.
Jake said that Jennifer suggested using a well-placed pillow between them to make them more comfortable when shooting in a horizontal position.
He recalled that it was “actually a suggestion from Jennifer; she was very kind to suggest it before we started.’ Jake said Jennifer was like, ‘I’ll put a pillow here.’
Jake also spoke about the possibility of becoming a father if there was a possibility of a future marriage between him and his girlfriend Jeanne Cadieu.
Jake has been in a long-term romance with the 26-year-old model, who is originally from Paris.
Despite their usual reticence, the pair have attended a handful of high-profile public events together this year, including the Vanity Fair Oscar Party.
