Google Chrome does not require a Google account to work. If you wish to remove one or all Google accounts from Chrome, you can do so while continuing to use the browser. We’ll show you how to do this on both desktop and mobile.

Remove Google account from Chrome on desktop
To unlink your Google account from Chrome on your desktop computer, first open Chrome and click on your profile icon in the top right corner.
In the profile menu that appears, click the gear icon next to “Other Profiles.”
A window for changing the user appears. Find the profile that has the Google Account you want to remove.
In this profile, click on the three dots in the upper right corner and select “Delete”.
Choose “Delete” from the menu.
Chrome displays a warning that signing out of your account will clear your browsing data. Proceed by clicking on “Delete”.
Click Delete.
Your Google account is now disconnected from your Chrome browser. Your browsing data will stop syncing with your account and that’s it.

Disconnect Google account from Chrome on Android
To remove your Google account from Chrome for Android, first launch the Chrome app on your phone.
Tap your profile icon in the top right corner of Chrome.
The Settings page is displayed. Here, tap on your Google account.
Select the Google account.
At the bottom of your account page, tap Sign out and turn off syncing.
At the bottom of the page, select “Sign out and turn off syncing”.
Select “Continue” from the prompt.
Press Next when prompted.
And that’s it. Your Chrome app is no longer associated with your Google account.
Sign out of a Google account in Chrome on iPhone and iPad
To sign out of your Google account in Chrome on an iPhone or iPad, first launch Chrome on your phone.
Tap your profile icon in the top right corner of Chrome.
On the Settings page that opens, select your Google account.
Tap on the Google account.
On the account page, tap Sign Out.
Select “Sign out”.
A prompt will appear at the bottom of the phone screen. If you want to keep your Google Account browsing data in the browser, select “Keep data” at the prompt. Otherwise, tap Clear Data.
Select “Clear data” or “Keep data”.
Your Apple device will delete your Google account and you’re good to go.
