THAT Whatsapp tests a new function called “communities”, or Communities in Portuguese. This feature allows you to create and manage groups in larger structures that can be used by businesses, schools, and other institutions.

The strategy managers of target group are enthusiastic about the possibilities that this feature can offer. The expectation is that the new functionality will make WhatsApp more attractive to other audiences and make life easier for users. The feature will merge groups, which are limited to 256 users, into larger units where administrators can send alerts to a community of thousands of users.
The new functionality could make WhatsApp competitive with other messaging apps like Telegram. Although WhatsApp is the favorite of Brazilians, it leaves a lot to be desired compared to Telegram, which is widely used for communication in the RussiaUkraine war.

For Brazilian users, the new functionality will only be available after the elections.
