Kate Hudson joked that she was on a cucumber diet before filming her bikini scenes in Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery.
The 43-year-old actress appeared on This Morning to promote the new Netflix film on Wednesday as she opened up about the poolside scene in which she dons an orange two-piece suit.
She told presenters Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield that she abstained while the rest of the cast drank alcoholic beverages, such as Aperol Spritzes, on set.

She said: “When everyone was drinking Aperol Spritz I was waiting for that scene to be filmed. So I thought, “I’ll just take this pickle.”
In the scene in question, she confidently strolls poolside to meet up with her friends at the sun loungers, where she wears a ruffled off-the-shoulder two-piece suit.
Elsewhere during the This Morning interview, Kate spoke about filming in general and how she was involved with the project.

She said: “When we found out they were doing a second one [Knives Out]I was about to smash Ryan Johnson’s door, I said, “I want in.”
On filming, she added: “We were really locked down because of Covid. It was right at the top of the delta so we had nowhere to go.
“We rented a bar, made crime novels, and then we had parties. That’s how we talked.’

Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery follows a famous Southern detective, Benoit Blanc (Daniel Craig), who travels to Greece for his latest case.
In addition to Kate and Daniel Craig, the all-star cast includes Janelle Monae, Leslie Odom Jr., Dave Bautista, Edward Norton, Kathryn Hahn, Ethan Hawk, Hugh Grant, Natasha Lyonne, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Serena Williams, Madelyn Cline, and even cameos from legends Angela Lansbury and Stephen Sondheim.
The film is a sequel to the 2019 film Knives Out directed by Rian Johnson.

It comes after Kate opened up about her experience filming Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery and how the all-star cast enjoyed wild parties after the set.
Speaking on NBC’s Today, she said: “We had so much fun. It was at the peak of Delta (the COVID-19 strain) and we were in Belgrade, Serbia, so the producer said, “You’re not leaving this hotel.”
“Which is a nightmare in itself but they rented the bar upstairs and we just, you know, the circus came up there and we just started drinking. And when the circus starts drinking things get weird and we had a great time.

The blonde bombshell also opened up about her character in Birdie Jay and how her name holds a special appeal for her personally.
She said: “Well my dad calls me, my nickname has always been Birdie. What’s so funny, you know, Birdie isn’t a regular nickname, so when I saw the character I was like, “oh.”
“And then on set it was fun because I never had that moment where people called me Birdie where it wasn’t my name, you know. I would just answer without even thinking twice.’
