“Mattino 5” has been one of the strengths of Canale 5’s programming for years, leading in terms of ratings in its slot. However, a journalist associated with the show, despite the gained popularity, can only lead a love and hate relationship.
A television journalist can only become a popular face through his appearances on the small screen, but he cannot realize his full potential as a presenter. Indeed, a role like this requires being as objective as possible and focusing on the news that needs to be shared with the public without too many frills.

However, the situation is very different for those who have the opportunity to conduct a program and thus have their finger on the pulse of the audience at home. A situation familiar to those who have been at the helm of “Mattino 5” for years.
“Mattino 5” is a fixed date for many Italians
Our life has become more flexible, so those who don’t have office hours can spend a few moments of the day in front of the TV, and those who have a few free minutes can use them to learn thanks to the special programs what is happening in Italy and beyond. One of them, which is now increasingly the ratings leader in its slot, is certainly “Mattino 5”.conducted by Francesco Vecchi and Federica Panicucci.
The two know how best to handle the two parts of the format, in the first you see the journalist at the helm, in the second the ball passes to the blonde presenter, who often also devotes herself to the “lighter” news.
At first glance, the two seem to have a peaceful and mutually satisfying relationship, as should be the case among colleagues, but was not always the case. In fact, it’s impossible not to recall the outburst she made when she was convinced she’d turned off the mic, even going so far as to threaten to have her partner removed from the format.
Not just good memories
As is so often the case, “Striscia la Notia” is relentless in unearthing outbursts from TV characters who are unaware they are being filmed. And what happened to Federica Panicucci was proof of that: she had unequivocally accused Francesco Vecchi of devoting too much space to his part devoted to politics, which inevitably took away space from the angle she was directing. An attitude that many found superficial, especially given the different meanings of the topics covered (she was supposed to be interviewing Cecilia Rodriguez and Ignazio Moser).
In the end everything was resolved, at least officially, with the permanence of the two at the helm of the program. However, it is obviously unthinkable that the two could become friends, but now they are diligently trying to get along.
However, despite this bad memory, Francesco Vecchi can only be positively associated with the program he has been leading for years. Here he also met the woman who later turned out to be the woman of his life: Tina La Loggia. She is editor-in-chief of “Mattino 5” but never appears in front of the cameras.
However, the journalist immediately understood how important she could become to him and obviously he hadn’t been wrong. “Every moment without her, I thought about what to say to her and what to do to make her notice me – he said to the microphones of Tv Mia -. I knew immediately that she is the woman of my life. And in the end I succeeded.” The two got married in 2020 and recently became Enrico’s parents.
In short, even if Vecchi’s career paths may be distant from the broadcast, it will still remain in his heart.
