Love Island’s Shaughna Philips has revealed that she ate a takeaway pizza on Christmas Day after a lavish £1,000 dinner went horribly wrong.
The 28-year-old reality star has been very private when it comes to her private life, but revealed her Christmas plans, which ended badly after waiters who “had no idea what was going on” let her go to a restaurant.
In her column with OK Magazine, Shaughna revealed that after booking eight weeks in advance and paying an £80 deposit, the ‘disaster’ plans only got worse.

“We arrived around 1pm and it took about an hour and a half for the five course tasting menu to come out. The waiters, who looked about 16 and pulled off the street, had no idea what was going on.
“They kept asking us what we ordered, but it had been eight weeks – we couldn’t remember! There were no menu cards in front of us either. Eventually soup came out of the kitchen and when we asked what kind of soup it was, the waiters didn’t know.’
When it got to around 3.45pm, Shaughna said she complained that they were still waiting for their main course – but then it came out as just a meat plate and no sides.
She explained that she kept asking for the essentials of her roast, which included potatoes, carrots, Yorkshire pudding, but was only given a piece of turkey at each instead.

The manager cried when she came over and Shaughna complained, she said, and after seeing a mother and son leave after waiting 30 minutes for the bill that never came, Shaughna decided to do the same.
“It was £100 per person and with the drinks included the bill would have been £1,300. We left without paying, we went home hungry. I later got an email from the restaurant with an apology and my 80 deposit was refunded. Billy and I shared pizza for dinner that night.”
She went on to say that after a horrific first experience, she would “never go out again” for Christmas.
It comes after Shaughna revealed she won’t be naming her unborn baby after her late father because she’s still struggling with the loss of his not being here.

The Love Island star, who is expecting her first baby, told her 1.4million Instagram followers when she has a boy he will be called Billy Edward and his middle name will be inherited from her father who sadly died of cancer in 2016 lost.
She explained that the baby is being named Billy, after her boyfriend, the father, because it “would be too much for her” to say her late father’s name every day.
Shaughna said, “My father’s name will be the baby’s middle name. There are a few reasons why I don’t name my baby after my father.
“My father’s real name is Edward but everyone called him Eddie and I just don’t know how okay it would be if I said my father’s name every day.
“I’m still struggling with my father not being here, so I think it would be too much for me. Baby will be Billy Edward when he’s a boy.’

She added, “We’re keeping the girl’s name a secret but it’s not a sentimental name, just a name we both love.”
The former Islander announced she was expecting a captioned montage in October that included scans of the baby, “our biggest chapter yet”.
She shares the unborn child with her boyfriend Billy, who is not in the public eye and prefers to keep his identity a secret.
