Damascus, December 30 (EFE). – At least ten oilfield workers died and two others were injured today in a “terrorist” attack on the buses they were using to travel inside facilities in Deir al Zur province in eastern Syria, the official Syrian news agency SANA reported.
Three different vehicles with personnel on board were attacked at the Al Tayyem oil field this morning, killing a dozen passengers and injuring two others, according to SANA, which described the action as “terrorist” without attributing it to a specific group.
However, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights assured that the act was committed by the jihadist formation Islamic State (IS). EFE
