According to Kiev, heavy Russian rocket attacks on Ukraine’s power infrastructure have led to power outages in large parts of the country. “Tonight there will be power cuts in most regions of Ukraine,” Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in a video last night.
The situation is “particularly difficult” in the Kyiv region and in the capital itself, in the western region of Lviv and in the regions of Odessa and Kherson, in the south of the country.
With each of these missile strikes, Russia “only sinks deeper and deeper into a dead end,” Zelensky said. “They have less and less rockets.” According to Interior Minister Denys Monastyrskyj, three people were killed in the rocket attacks yesterday. Six other people, including a child, were injured.
