Mild temperatures on New Year’s Eve

This is sometimes up to 16 degrees higher than what would be normal for this time of year. The last third of December could be one of the hottest in climate history, according to BR meteorologists.
Even on New Year’s Eve, temperatures are often in the range of positive double digits, 10-14 degrees at midnight is possible. In the early morning, temperatures in the lowlands are only 2 to 9 degrees. There are gaps in cloud cover on New Year’s Eve, first in southern Bavaria, then increasingly in the north. January 1st will be very friendly throughout Bavaria.
