David Warner enjoyed a New Year’s Day cricket match with a very special guest on Sunday.

The 36-year-old cricketer met Prime Minister Anthony Albanese for a friendly at Kirribilli House in Sydney.

The politician turned athletic on the field with David’s daughters Ivy, seven, Indi, six, and Isla, three, whom he shares with wife Candice, 36, of seven.

The family first chatted with the Prime Minister at the iconic venue, with Albanese’s partner Jodie Haydon crouching to speak to the young girls.

They then went outside onto the lawn to play cricket, with David and the children present getting in the way of the lively PM catching balls.

David’s wife Candice also attended the game and looked stunning in an orange maxi dress.

It comes after David paid Candice a touching tribute after putting on a memorable show at the MCG at the annual Boxing Day cricket match.

He posted a series of photos alongside his wife on his Instagram, expressing his love for her.

“No words can describe my love for you!! Thank you for everything you do for the girls and I,” he began.
