With multiple playoff spots up for grabs on Sunday, this became a week of separating contenders from contenders.
One team that definitely qualifies as contenders is the Washington Commanders, who saw their playoff chances plummet after losing to the Browns. Though the Commanders will almost certainly not be playing again when the postseason kicks off, NFC East’s other three teams will. We’ve seen the Eagles and Cowboys score clinch points earlier this season, and on Sunday the Giants joined them thanks to their win over the Colts.
Of course, there is no NFL postseason without Tom Brady, and he will be making the playoffs for a 14th straight season after his Buccaneers clinched the NFC South title by beating the Carolina Panthers. The Bucs beat the Panthers 30-24 after digging out of a 14-0 hole.
So what grade do you get for a 14-point comeback with the division title at stake? Let’s get to the week 17 grades and find out. If you’re looking for a deeper dive into the Cowboys’ 27-13 win over the Titans, played on Thursday, you can read about it here.
