Tesla Semi battery pack and thermal management system revealed after first deliveries – TESLARATI

Just a month after the Semi’s first deliveries to Pepsi and Frito-Lay in December, images of the Tesla Semi’s internals have been posted online, showing each subsystem of the vehicle.

The Tesla Semi unveiling event was a fantastic ceremony, not only because of the truck’s incredible design, but also because of its exceptional technical capabilities compared to other electric and diesel semi-trailers currently on the market. Now, each of the Tesla Semi’s intricate subsystems has been shown off in images uploaded to Twitter.

The pictures posted by @greentheonly Heading over to Twitter is some of the most detailed x-ray diagrams of the truck seen since its launch and some of the best images showing how the truck works.

Alongside the impressive technical images, the Twitter user posted a fictitious VIN plate for the commercial vehicle, highlighting specs such as total weight, tire size and tire pressure.

These images were released just a month after the vehicle’s launch and just a few weeks after the first trucks were spotted on public roads. The trucks delivered to Pepsi and Frito-Lay are already working to deliver product across the West Coast of the United States, with additional routes planned for the future as the automaker continues to deliver in the new year.

Tesla has not announced other customers who will receive trucks in 2023, nor have the upcoming customers announced their intention to buy/take them off. And because of this lack of clarity, Semi order estimates range from a few hundred to thousands of vehicles.

As more automakers, including Mercedes, Volvo Trucks and Nikola, continue to expand electric semi-trailer offerings, market acceptance of the technology and investment in it should continue to increase. Hopefully, with this continued rollout, the way the products we love are delivered to us can continue to improve and become more sustainable.
