Jeremy Renner in ‘critical but stable’ condition in Reno after weather-related snow plowing accident

Jeremy Renner is in “critical but stable condition with injuries sustained after a weather-related accident while plowing snow earlier this morning,” his spokesman told Deadline on Sunday.

A two-time Oscar nominee, Renner is the star of the recurring Paramount+ series The Mayor of Kingstown and the Marvel’s Hawkeye series on Disney+, as well as the Avengers and Captain America films.

Deadline had heard about an accident and that Renner had been airlifted to the hospital the previous Sunday. His spokesman said his family is with him now and he is being “excellently taken care of”. We’ll let you know more when we hear it.

According to the Reno Gazette-Journal, Renner has a home in the area near Mt. Rose-Ski Tahoe. The region experienced a winter storm on New Year’s Eve that left 35,000 homes in northern Nevada’s Washoe, Carson, Douglas, Storey and Lyon counties without power, according to the newspaper this morning.

Renner received a Best Actor Oscar nomination for The Hurt Locker in 2010 and a Supporting Actor Oscar nomination for The Town the following year.

Mayor of Kingstown begins its second season January 15 on Paramount+. The series was created by Taylor Sheridan and Hugh Dillon and produced for Par+ by 101 Studios, Bosque Ranch Productions, MTV Entertainment Studios and Paramount Network.

Renner previously starred in Sheridan’s drama Wind River in 2017.
