Netflix has released a first look photo of Arsema Thomas as Young Lady Agatha Danbury in the highly anticipated Bridgerton prequel series.

Last September, another first look picture of Queen Charlotte was unveiled ahead of the much-anticipated split.

It was announced last year that a spin-off series will be in the works, chronicling the flamboyant and gossip-hungry monarch’s younger years, with the show being written and produced by Bridgerton creator Shonda Rhimes.

Netflix released the photo of India Amarteifio as a fan-favorite character from the historical drama.

The 21-year-old actress embodied the character as she was studded with jewels and wore an elegant white gown with a fitted corset and a shimmering satin hooded coat.

She completed her regal attire with a pair of cream satin gloves and secured an extravagant crown in her dark tresses.

Charlotte gave the camera a solemn look as she posed in a palace with flower arrangements and sculptures in the background.

In addition to giving a first look at the character, Netflix also revealed that the official title for the prequel spin-off show will be Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story.

A description of the series read: “It focuses on Queen Charlotte’s rise to prominence and power. This Bridgerton verse prequel tells the story of how the young Queen’s marriage to King George sparked both a great love story and societal change, and set the world of the tone that the characters in Bridgerton have inherited.’

The news comes ahead of Saturday’s Netflix fan event Tudum, which will unveil the series and unveil other surprise announcements.

Ruth Gemmell will also reprise her role as Lady Violet Bridgerton, while Michelle Fairley will join the cast as Princess Augusta.

Elsewhere, Corey Mylchreest will play Young King George and Arsema Thomas will make her television debut as Young Agatha Danbury.

Set in the mid-1800s, the prequel explores the young life of Charlotte, the daughter of German royalty who married British monarch George III, who was played in the 1761 Netflix drama by Corey Mylchreest when she was 17.

The marriage lasted 57 years and produced 15 children. Miss Amarteifio, 21, who played DCI Roz Huntley’s daughter Sophie in season four of BBC drama Line Of Duty, also starred in Dr. Who and ITV’s Unforgotten.

It will also contain the origins of other characters appearing in Bridgerton, namely Violet Bridgerton and Lady Danbury.

After rumors that Bridgerton’s second series didn’t quite reach the slippery heights of the first, it looks like producers have taken note that Netflix drama spin-off prequel Queen Charlotte is being beefed up, to keep it viewership high.

A wall was reinforced for one scene, a source says. In another scene, viewers see headboards popping.

According to a source, there were fears that an energetic love scene involving the young monarch, played by India Ria Amarteifio, could be so energetic that it could literally bring the house down.

“There’s a young cast for the prequel and the sex scenes showcase them,” the insider said. “It will definitely satisfy those Bridgerton fans who complain about the lack of sex scenes in season two.

“In one storyline, a headboard will hit a wall hard. It’s going to be classier than anything from the first series.’
