Shame about the surprise effect, the new Galaxy A54 5G appears online from all angles. So we now know almost everything about Samsung’s next mid-range smartphone.

The descendant of the Galaxy A53 and the Galaxy A52 before it (you know the song), the Galaxy A54 5G was fully featured in the columns of the specialized Android Headlines site just before the weekend. The opportunity to discover the design, the dimensions, the colors but also a good part of the technical specifications of Samsung’s next bestseller is expected in the mid-range.
Let’s start by commenting on what we have in front of us. The device will be available in at least four colors: black, white, purple and light green. It will also be slightly thicker and wider than its predecessor at 158.3 x 76.7 x 8.2mm compared to 159.9 x 74.7 x 8.1mm for the Galaxy A53 5G. Therefore, despite a similar size, the new model will not be able to adapt to the hulls of its big brother.
A fairly balanced spec sheet
As in the previous year, the device should benefit from attractive features for its price. If Android Headlines’ information is confirmed, we find a 6.4-inch Full HD OLED screen with a capacity of up to 120 Hz, 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage and a main sensor of 50 Mpx. The set should be powered by a 5000mAh battery, but the processor responsible for motorizing this new Galaxy A54 is still in question. According to all logic, it should still be the Exynos 1380, probably a replacement for the Exynos 1280 of the current Galaxy A53.

The question of the launch of this new Galaxy A54 remains. If Samsung sticks to the same niche as last year, the device is likely to be unveiled in March or April, several weeks after the Galaxy S23’s expected announcement in late February. In terms of price, we should be around 500 euros. This pricing would allow the Galaxy A54 to put on its predecessor’s shoes to effectively compete with the Google Pixel 6a, the Nothing Phone (1), or even the latest iPhone SE.
