Vietnam: Rescue operation for child who fell in 35 meter hole

Rescue workers try to come to the aid of a boy who fell into a 35 meter deep pit at a bridge construction site.

Hundreds of rescuers struggled on Monday to save a 10-year-old child who fell into a 35-meter hole at a bridge construction site in southern Vietnam two days ago. Thai Ly Hao Nam was apparently with two friends looking for scrap metal when he fell into a hollow concrete pillar just 25 centimeters wide being poured to build a new bridge in southern Dong Thap province, a rescuer said by phone to Agence France -Press. this Monday, January 2nd.
