Movie
The Lion King
In 2019, 25 years after the 1994 original directed by Roger Allers and Rob Minkoff, director Jon Favreau (“Iron Man”, “The Jungle Book”) returns to the big screen with this remake of the Disney house great classic. The story is familiar, but the protagonists of the savannah are more realistic than ever this time in a live-action version. Simba is the future king, son of Mufasa, the current ruler of the savannah, feared and respected. However, not everyone is happy about the pup’s arrival and, more importantly, not everyone is excited to hailed him as the new heir to the throne. Scar, Mufasa’s envious younger brother, plots in the shadows with the help of trusted hyenas to subvert the established order and seize power. Exiled and oppressed by guilt, Simba walks away from the Rock of Kings until the past returns to demand accountability and urge the young lion to reclaim his place in the savanna hierarchy. In this new version we find all the characters Disney has grown fond of, Nala, the young lioness, friend of Simba, has the voice of Elisa in the Italian version, while Simba has that of Marco Mengoni, Timon and Pumbaa respectively dubbed by Edoardo Leo and Stefano Fresi. The director, American Jon Favreau, is no stranger to creating great classics using computer graphics technology. In fact, Favreau successfully brought a similar project to the big screen in 2016 with the updated version of The Jungle Book.
