The Lions started the 1-6 season. The Packers starter 4-8. They will end the season by playing against each other.

The NFL has announced the week 18 schedule. It ends with the Lions visiting the Packers at Lambeau Field on NBC.

The Packers become the seventh seed in the NFC with a win. The Lions can only make the playoffs if the Seahawks lose to the Rams earlier in the day and then if the Lions beat the Packers.

The Seahawks could be slightly upset that both games won’t be played at the same time, as the Lions believe they still have a shot at qualifying for the postseason if they face the Packers. From the looks of it, the Lions will very likely know they’re out before the game even starts.

And the Rams can do their former franchise quarterback a favor by beating the Seahawks, as it would get Jared Goff a playoff ticket — if he can beat the Packers on their own turf.

Of course, the Lions can still play to win. They can spoil Green Bay’s playoff berth and set the stage for a potentially deep playoff run in 2023.

Eight games of Week 18 will be played at 1pm ET. Five begins at 4:25 p.m. ET. The early games will nail the final AFC playoff berth (Jets-Dolphins, Bills-Patriots, Browns-Steelers) and No. 1 in the AFC. The late games will determine the NFC East title and the NFC #1.

Along with Rams-Seahawks who will determine if the night game is a win and one for one team or both.

There is a remaining crease that needs to be determined. If the Bengals lose tonight, Baltimore-Cincinnati will be played as the AFC North title game at 4:25 p.m. ET.

If the Bengals win tonight and win the division, it will be played at 1:00 p.m. ET as part of the potential scrum for the top seed in the AFC.

The Bengals only have a shot at the No. 1 if the Chiefs lose to the Raiders on Saturday.
