Scared drivers should always leave definitive physical proof that they were actually in the vehicle, said TikTok user @brennalina, just in case something horrible should happen.
For the clever TikToker, this includes leaving strands of hair as well as fingerprints.
“Ever since a girl on TikTok said she leaves hair and fingerprints on all her Ubers, I’ve been leaving hair and fingerprints on all my Ubers,” she said in a recent post.
She then captioned it, “Ladies Amirite – #LoveBeingAWoman.”
The second-hand safety advice not only garnered a whopping 27.5 million views — it also sparked a lively discussion, with traumatized women sharing their harrowing rideshare experiences.

“An Uber driver locked me in his car until I gave him five stars and a nice comment,” said one.
Another woman claimed she was kidnapped by a driver.
“I was kidnapped … he took me to a field … somehow I talked and manipulated myself out by being nice to him,” she said.
Others offered more safety tips.
“I always pretend to be on the phone with someone when I walk in. I’ll usually be like, ‘Okay, I’ll get in the Uber, I’ll send you my location, goodbye,'” one commenter wrote.
