Israeli attack in Damascus, four dead

Four men – “two Syrian fighters and two Syrian soldiers” – died in Israeli shelling at Damascus International Airport. This was announced by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights based in the United Kingdom.

According to the official Syrian news agency Sana, the attack took place around 2 a.m. local time (1 a.m. in Italy). “The Israeli enemy carried out an airstrike with a barrage of rockets on Damascus International Airport and its surroundings,” the agency said, citing a Syrian military source, adding that the airport was “out of service.”

According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights The Israeli attack targeted “Hezbollah and pro-Iranian positions in and around the airport, including an arms cache.”.
