Janet Jackson during the 37th Annual Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on November 5, 2022 in Los Angeles, California.
Last month we told you how Janet Jackson was preparing for her upcoming Together Again World Tour with rapper Ludacris. What you didn’t know, however, is the exact preparations the legendary singer-dancer will make before she sets out.
According to the Chron, the “All For You” singer will reportedly do “#MeToo checks” on various crew members on tour to weed out troublesome people who might get in the way of a great show. The checks will reportedly apply to all backup dancers, crew members, bandmates and general staff, and come shortly after another legendary singer – namely Beyonce – revealed she would be doing the same ahead of her Renaissance tour this summer.

“Janet takes a leaf out of Beyonce’s book and introduces #MeToo checks as she prepares for her Together Again tour,” a source told the outlet. “It doesn’t come cheap, but for Janet and her family, creating a safe and friendly work environment is more important than profits.”
The source added, “Janet is determined that everyone working on the tour is completely comfortable and in a safe environment.”
As previously reported by The Root, Janet—Miss Jackson, if you’re mad—will embark on the North American leg of her tour beginning in April. It will begin south in Hollywood, Florida and end in Seattle, Washington in June. I was lucky enough to see Janet Jackson during EssenceFest in New Orleans last summer and I have to tell you, she’s hosting a SHOW. The way she moves and dances so effortlessly makes me so proud and honored to have witnessed such greatness. She’s someone you definitely don’t want to miss.
