Russian President Vladimir Putin has ordered the culture ministry to encourage the screening in cinemas of documentaries about the military operation in Ukraine and what it calls “the fight against the spread of neo-Nazi and neo-fascist ideology,” which Moscow says is in the widespread in Ukraine. This was announced by the Ria Novosti agency. The Ministry of Culture must submit a program by February 1st.
Putin also instructed the Defense Ministry to “assist documentary filmmakers in preparing footage of the participants in the military special operation who have shown courage and heroism.”
