Jeremy Renner: Actor Thanks Fans For Messages Of Support After Accident

Actor Jeremy Renner, 51, posted a photo to social media tonight to thank fans for their messages of affection after being hospitalized after suffering a serious snow machine accident at his home.

In a post on Instagram, the Marvel’s Hawkeye performer shared a faceonly selfie. He said he’s still processing everything he’s experienced, but has made sure to say thank you for the messages of support.

In the comments, friends and celebrities celebrated the artist’s first performance and left messages of support for his recovery.

“Send strength and love bro,” wrote one follower. “Jeremy is praying for you,” posted a second fan. “Get well soon!” wished a third internet user.

Jeremy Renner was hit in one of his legs by a snow plow on Sunday morning (1) in the city of Reno, Nevada, United States.

In an interview with local newspaper Reno Gazette Journal, Reno Mayor Hillary Schieve claimed that the actor was hit by his own snow plow while helping the other vehicle.

“He was helping someone who was stuck in the snow. He’s always helping others,” says the mayor. And he adds, “He always calls me and says, ‘Mr. Mayor, what do you need?'”

A witness told TMZ that a snowplow ran over the actor’s leg and that the accident left a lot of blood at the scene, effectively a “crime scene.” Another neighbor, who is a doctor, reportedly managed to put a tourniquet on his leg before paramedics arrived.

Jeremy Renner suffered a chest contusion and orthopedic injuries after being hit by the machine. According to CNN, he has already had two surgeries and is being admitted to the Intensive Care Unit.
