According to the Mayo Clinic, the disease is one in which patients have “higher than normal levels of eosinophils,” which are “a type of disease-fighting white blood cell.”

“This condition most often indicates a parasitic infection, an allergic reaction, or cancer.”

Medical officials said in the coroner’s report that the underlying cause of the condition was not clear.

In the report verified by the outlet, officials said the rap artist said he needed to be hospitalized for “stomach and back pains” around 7:30 p.m. local time on the evening of May 13.
