Sale of Sunset star Jason Oppenheim meddles in Sydney’s ridiculous property market: ‘They’re expensive for what they are’
Jason Oppenheim has said he is unlikely to open a shop in Sydney due to the city’s soaring property prices.
The US real estate agent, who became famous for selling multimillion-dollar homes on Netflix’s Selling Sunset, revealed she’s toured various homes in Harbor City that he says are “up to 50 percent” more expensive than LA were.
“We’ve viewed a couple of offers in the $15 million to $50 million range. They’re expensive for what they are,” he told the Daily Telegraph.

“I went to my mate’s which he said cost AU$8 million which would have been 25-35 per cent less if it was in LA.
“You guys are anywhere from 20 to 50 percent more expensive than us depending on location,” he added.
“Even the condos. The Crown is selling homes for $5,000 [7,341AUD] per square foot. We don’t have anything that matches that. Even our most expensive buildings cost around $3500[5,156AUD] Max.’

“You have the best view of maybe any city in the world, between all the beaches and the Opera House and the Harbor Bridge and the bays, it’s amazing,” he added.
The 45-year-old, who spent Christmas in Australia with girlfriend Marie-Lou Nurk and twin brother Brett, added that he “went to the beach like crazy” and tried “every good restaurant in town”.
He also met his ex-girlfriend Chrishell Stause while shopping in Sydney. Stause is now dating Australian singer G-flip.
The brothers also met Brett’s Australian ex-girlfriend, Tina Louise, and her new partner, Sei Moon.
The comments come after Jason walked with her from Double Bay to Bondi alongside his girlfriend Marie-Liu Nurk for a good view of the city.
Jason and Marie-Lou were first linked in July 2022 — six months after Jason split from his Selling Sunset co-star Chrishell Stause.

The couple reportedly started dating after meeting while on vacation in Greece.
The couple were spotted packing on their PDA during their overseas trip and later shared a photo of them posing together.
Shortly after, they made their red carpet debut and officially took to Instagram.
Although they haven’t been together long, the couple spoke to People in August about being on the same page about their future plans.
Marie-Lou lives in Paris where she works as a model and they may be moving there after filming the latest season of the real estate reality show.
Jason has also previously spoken out about not wanting children, but is now considering the next step with his girlfriend.
“I’m more open to being a husband right now than I am to being a father,” he said.
