Ronaldo was officially announced as the Al-Nassr player on Friday night, with the Portuguese star set to earn a staggering £175million a year through 2025, making him the highest-paid player in world football.

He traveled to Saudi Arabia on Monday and posted a short video on Instagram telling fans “see you soon” as he prepared for departure.

Ronaldo landed on Monday night and Al-Nassr has now released footage of his arrival with his family.

The video shows Ronaldo and his partner Georgina Rodriguez being greeted by two young fans, each presenting the couple with a bouquet of flowers.

Ronaldo faces a busy day on Tuesday after completing his medical as he meets Al-Nassr supporters at the club’s home ground, Msool Park.

The stadium has a capacity of 30,000 and is expected to be full for its unveiling.

Al-Nassr fans might not have to wait too long to see their new signing in action either, as Ronaldo could make his debut on Thursday if he is deemed fit enough to play.

Al-Nassr plays Al Ta’ee at home on Thursday in what coach Rudi Garcia could decide for the perfect game to make Ronaldo’s debut.

However, given Ronaldo’s lack of playing time in recent weeks, this could prove to be a close challenge for Garcia. The former Manchester United striker has not played since Portugal were knocked out of the World Cup by Morocco on December 10.
