Young Itamara Eny de Freitas, 19, was found dead in Morrinhos, Ceará. Itamara Eny de Freitas disappeared on Saturday afternoon (31) when she was approached by a man at her place of work. The family suspects she was kidnapped as she left the office open and the computers on while a sum of money she had at the company was not stolen. Surveillance cameras captured scenes of her alongside the man, riding him on the back of his motorcycle. As early as Sunday morning (1st), relatives found the motorcycle abandoned with the key in the ignition lock. The vehicle was found in a forest in the rural area of Itarema, 65 kilometers from where the young woman was last seen.

The sad news came on Monday afternoon (2): Itamara’s body was found on a piece of land in the District of Bom Principle in Morrinhos (CE). On the same day, police arrested suspects Francisco Gabriel dos Santos, 20, and José Almino Holanda, 35. José would be the man who appears in the videos approaching the victim and driving away with him on a motorcycle. According to g1, he is already responsible for a rape case in 2013 and also for the crime of recording. Gabriel, in turn, was Itamara’s neighbor and even posted on social media that he “hoped” she would be found.

According to Matheus Nicolas Carvalho, Itamara’s brotherinlaw, the neighbor did not leave the victim’s house. “He lived here at home, one of them was a neighbor of ours. Had coffee, had dinner, just not slept here. Nobody guessed. But when his picture appeared, we saw it. He was in love with her and nobody knew it,” he said in an interview with Diário do Nordeste. Itamara’s sister also believes that the young woman was killed because the killer would not have accepted her marrying another man. “Obsessive passion for her but never shown and not accepting the fact that she was going to get married,” he said.
