Four dead in tragic mid-air collision between two helicopters near Seaworld on Australia’s Gold Coast. The other nine passengers were injured, three of them in serious condition.
The crash happened around 2 p.m. local time on January 2 in a tourist area called Main Beach, about 75 kilometers south of Brisbane.
According to Queensland Police, one helicopter was about to take off while the other was landing.
In the first part of the video published by the Australian broadcaster 7News, the exact moment of the accident is recorded from the cockpit. Just before the crash, one of the passengers sounds the alarm and tries to get the pilot’s attention. But it’s all useless.
