Head of the Wagner mercenary group frees the first ex convicts

The head of the Russian mercenary group Wagner, Yevgeny Prigozhin, today released the first ex-prisoners he had recruited. “Don’t drink too much, don’t use drugs and don’t rape women,” Prigozhin told the ex-convicts. You would have learned a lot, especially how to kill the enemy.

“But I definitely don’t want you to use this achievement in forbidden territory. If you want to kill enemies again, come back,” said Prigozhin.

The mercenary group originally consisted of former battle-hardened soldiers of the Russian army. She has fought in Libya, Syria, Mali and most recently Ukraine. After Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, Prigozhin recruited thousands of men from Russian prisons. After six months of deployment in Ukraine, they should be released.

Insider: Russia is relying more and more on the Wagner Group

According to US insider information, Russian President Vladimir Putin is increasingly turning to the Wagner Group because of military difficulties in Ukraine. Its influence is increasing. Wagner increasingly isolated himself from the Russian Defense Ministry.

Because of his extensive catering business, Wagner’s boss Prigoschin is also called “Putin’s chef”. The US branded him an oligarch and sanctioned him for spreading false information and interfering in US elections.
