Almir Sater’s stolen plane may have been used in human trafficking in Bolivia

Singer and actor Almir Sater’s stolen plane may have been used for drug trafficking in Bolivia. That’s what the civil police in Mato Grosso do Sul suspect.

In the early hours of September 6, 2021, three planes were stolen from a “trawler” in the city of Aquidauana (MS). One of them, the Sky Lane model, comes from Almir Sater. Six suspects involved in the robbery were arrested, but the plane had not been recovered.

The novelty of this story happened late last year when a large number of planes were seized at Santa Cruz de La Sierra Airport in Bolivia. Delegate Ana Cláudia Medina revealed to the Mato Grosso do Sul G1 that these confiscated planes could be the same ones stolen in Aquidauana.

expertise

The planes found in Bolivia have the same characteristics as those stolen in Brazil, but they had a falsified identification. So far, the comparison has only been carried out on the basis of photos.

Now the civilian police are waiting for permission from the Bolivian government to inspect these planes and prove that they really are the ones stolen in Brazil.

heavily armed

On the day of the robbery, the bandits were heavily armed and overtook the employees of the place where the three planes were parked, a model Bonanza v35b and two Sky Lane.

Extradited employees were forced to refuel the plane. Some of the robbers spoke Spanish. The hostages were left tied up while the bandits escaped in planes.

Almir Sater commented on the crime at the time: “We work with material goods, but I hope that they will be found again. But if you don’t, the rings go and the fingers stay,” he said.

According to the singer, the plane was used for claims on his farms in the Pantanal, especially during times of flooding.
