Her last appearance comes two months after she announced that she had completed production on the prequel to the Hunger Games, The Ballad Of Songbirds And Snakes.
She celebrated the occasion by tweeting two photos of her gleefully breaking the clapboards on the set of a massive, opulent rotunda.
The former YouTuber-turned-breakout-star in Steven Spielberg’s West Side Story wrote, “I loved every second. and that’s a wrap.’
Francis Lawrence, who directed three of the four original Hunger Games films, is also directing The Ballad Of Songbirds And Snakes.

Francis said her character, Lucy Gray Baird, “fits her perfectly as an actress: the character is brave, independent, and defiant, but also vulnerable, emotional, and loving. Rachel will make this character unforgettable.”
The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes is currently slated to hit theaters later this year, on November 17, 2023.

The plot focuses on the rise of Coriolanus Snow, who is the ironclad leader of the dystopian country of Panem at the time of the Hunger Games.

All of these kids are then unleashed into a treacherous arena where they slaughter each other until one district wins.
Rachel plays Lucy Gray Baird from District 12 – the same region that would decades later give birth to Katniss Everdeen, the main character of The Hunger Games.
