Switzerland’s Leo Braillard quickly put the visitors ahead with his first career goal in the 34th second of the game. Shawinigan struck three more times.

Defender Jordan Tourigny was an accomplice to three of his team’s four goals.

The Armada eventually found a way to beat goalkeeper Remi Delafontaine in the third period. Vincent Desjardins scored his second goal of the season before Jonathan Fauchon rattled the strings midway through the third half for the 18th time of the season. However, the efforts of Bruce Richardson’s troupe were inadequate.

The Armada will attend the Foreurs in Val-d’Or on Saturday night.
