The Russian minister also said that nuclear war was “unacceptable”. He criticized the supply of arms to Ukraine by Western countries such as the United States. Russia said it was “unacceptable” that the United States continued to send arms to Ukraine.
“By arming Ukraine, NATO is effectively entering a proxy war against Russia,” Lavrov said.

“The Russians overcame the Nazi crimes in Mariupol,” says the military chief
Pavlo Kyrylenko, head of the Donetsk region’s military administration, compared the situation in Mariupol today to almost eight decades ago, when the city was occupied by the Nazis. Today the port city in the Donetsk region is under siege by Russian forces that invaded Ukraine two months ago.
“More atrocities, more killings, more destruction. The Russians have already repeated and surpassed the crimes of the Nazis in Mariupol. They will repeat the inglorious escape,” Kyrylenko said. Mariupol officials estimate that more than 10,000 people were killed in the city.

For Kyrylenko, the residents “could not have foreseen at the time that the Russian occupation would be even more devastating”.
Citing reports in Soviet newspapers of the time, he recalled the German escape with records of looting and raids. “And just like then, it will end sadly for the invaders, and the blue and yellow flag of freedom will again fly over Mariupol,” Kyrylenko said.
Today Mariupol is practically destroyed, with resistance in the area of the Azovstal power plant. This Monday (25th), the Russians demanded the evacuation of civilians from the site. Ukraine has indicated that it fears a Russian attack to remove this group from the site.
