Stranger Things star Noah Schnapp says he’s just as gay as his character

American actor Noah Schnapp posted a video on TikTok on Thursday (5) in which he came out as gay, as did his ‘Stranger Things’ character Will Byers, who made him a star.

“I think I’m more like Will than I thought I was,” he jokingly said in the video, which has already racked up nearly 11 million views.

The actor said when he revealed his sexual orientation to friends and family “after 18 years of fear,” no one was surprised. “Everyone already knew,” he said.

The video was part of a viral post series on TikTok about “things not to be taken so seriously”.

Will, one of the main characters of the series aired on Netflix, is in love with his best friend Mike, played by Finn Wolfhard. In the fourth and final season, her passion is implied.
