Former L’Isola dei Famosi shipwreck Davide Di Porto revealed his tragedy. The man was on the reality show in 2010, but his name was later forgotten, as often happens with many TV characters. Davide Di Porto shared some shocking background stories about his life in the pages of the weekly newspaper Nuovo. Today, after stepping foot on red-light cinema sets as an actor, the man has to sift through the trash to find food or items to sell at the flea market. He announced it himself: “I’m not ashamed to say it: Today is a field of resources and I’m looking through the garbage for items and things to sell. But I don’t steal anything from anyone. Pornography isn’t the wonderful environment everyone keeps telling us about.”
At L’Isola dei Famosi, Davide Di Porto made himself known to the public as a personal trainer, but could no longer find anything in this job either. The man blurted out against the entertainment industry, leveling scathing words at some of this sixteenth edition’s competitors: “People stop me in the street and ask me why, in the midst of this bunch of unknown castaways, I’m not on the Isle of the Famous.” Are they naming characters like Country Cousins and expired playboys like Antonio Zequila and not me? This is a clear case of… Di Porto phobia!”. Davide Di Porto accused television of exploiting its image and then dropping it when it was no longer needed. A fate shared by many characters in the world of television, it seems. There are many television characters who gained some visibility for a while only to then fade into oblivion.
However, in an interview with the Settimanale Nuovo, Davide di Porto stated that he would not give up: “Television threw me like a waste after exploiting me. The leaders are afraid of me, but I am not afraid of them. I still have so much to tell and to do, I don’t give up and when the work isn’t there, I invent it!”. Davide Di Porto wants to land in Honduras again to redeem himself and appeals: “To redeem me. Or die,” he concluded. Davide Di Porto tried different ways to stay on television, but none of them guaranteed him the success he had hoped for: this is how he finally decided to pursue an acting career, devoting himself to adult cinema. However, his film career wasn’t for him and now he’s trying TV again. Will he succeed?
