April 26 – Western arms supplies to Ukraine mean the NATO alliance is “essentially engaged in a war with Russia” and Moscow regards those arms as legitimate targets, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said in an am Interview aired Monday.

“These weapons will be a legitimate target for Russia’s military actions in the framework of the special operation,” Lavrov told state television in an interview published on the foreign ministry’s website.

“Storage facilities in western Ukraine have been attacked (by Russian forces) more than once. How can it be otherwise?” Lawror said. “NATO is essentially engaged in a war with Russia through a proxy and is arming that proxy. War means war.”
