Shadows of Doubt: a closed beta from January 13th to 16th, 2023 – Factornews

If you’re a fan of investigative games and you hold on to the beauty of voxels with a rendering close to what Ion Lands was able to achieve with Cloudpunk, you might hold something with Shadows of Doubt, whose title is likely a homage to Alfred Hitchcock’s film from 1943. In a chronically hyper-industrialized city of the 80s and in an open world, you are a detective and in order to live you must necessarily solve investigations that will allow you to achieve your ultimate goal: to find a serial killer.

The promise of this game is quite special, it would be a simulated world with hundreds of residents, each with a specific name, job, apartment and routine, like the NPCs in Red Dead Redemption 2, but this time made procedural. In the same way, you’ll have access to the entire city for your investigations, your gadgets will help you collect clues, and you really have a lot of ways to approach. For example, you can pick locks, demolish doors, disable security systems, or even bribe the right people.

The tone is set, if you want to know more and make up your own mind, the developers at ColePowered Games are offering a closed beta from January 13th to 16th, 2023. To access it, simply register on the Steam page of the title scheduled for release this year in 2023.
