You can’t stay in Florida without stopping by South Beach, this vibrant place where tolerance reigns supreme. With its whimsical and colorful lifeguard towers, it’s one of the most Instagrammable beaches in all of Florida. Its eclectic fauna, between its hyper-muscled athletes and its sirens in bikinis, represents a real spectacle in itself. After a day at the beach, it’s time to admire the Art Deco style buildings on Collins Avenue or on the shopping on Lincoln Avenue. Here are also the most beautiful hotels in Miami. Why not take the opportunity to have a drink in one of its bars and admire its impressive lobby or its tropical gardens. And then, to explore the surroundings, you can make great discoveries with a short ride on a city bike, a bit like the Bixi.

North Miami Beach

North Miami Beach is much quieter than neighboring South Beach. Families like to meet here to build sand castles and do water sports. Once there, take the perfectly landscaped bike path that takes you all the way to Miami Beach’s southernmost tip, South Point Park, where you can see impressive cruise ships and breathtaking sunsets. This bike tour of approx. 14 km is a real feast for the eyes.

Lake Worth Beach

Lake Worth Beach is known for the brilliance of its azure sea. It attracts surfers but also fishermen because of its long quay. It’s also home to the famous Benny’s on the Beach, a great place to sip a good tropical cocktail or sample a succulent lobster roll. Lantana Beach, just minutes away, is also worth a visit and its restaurant, Duck Deck Cafe, run by Quebecers of Greek descent, offers good food at very reasonable prices.

Jupiter Beach

About 30 minutes from West Palm Beach is the 4 km long Jupiter Beach. Everything is wilder here, there are no high-rise buildings or souvenir shops. When the wind is good, the beach attracts kitesurfers and you can also come there with your dog (entries no. 26 to 57). If you’re in the area, take the opportunity to visit the Loggerhead Marine Center on Juno Beach, a turtle rehabilitation center and climb the Jupiter Lighthouse, the views are breathtaking.

Haulover Beach

Haulover Beach is known for the quality of its clear waters, perfect for swimming. The beach attracts families with its many barbecue grills and picnic tables. It is also popular with nudists as a small part is reserved for them. To see more impressive yachts, head to the north end at Haulover Inlet and Beach Park, where there is a boat passage.

There is a marina across the street from which many deep sea fishing boats depart. Another great perk is parking for $5 a day on weekdays and $7 on weekends! A real bargain in Florida!

Delray Beach

Delray Beach is tasteful with its ever-present vegetation. It has nothing to do with a typical American commercial beach. It’s the ideal place to relax with your feet in the sand, practice body surfing or play volleyball.

Not far away is bustling little downtown Delray Beach, which you can easily explore on foot. The main street, Atlantic Avenue, is full of nice shops, good restaurants, art galleries and friendly little bars.

In 2021 the Delray Market opened its doors there, there are many small food counters offering a variety of dishes ranging from Indian dishes to BBQ and seafood without forgetting of course vegetarian food.

Sunny island beach

Sunny Isles Beach, half an hour from Miami Beach, is well known to Quebecers. In the past, many small Quebecois hotels on Collins Avenue welcomed tourists. Today they have been replaced by huge towers (some of which can reach almost 60 floors), impressive and very designer. The Sunny Isles beach is particularly appreciated for the color of its emerald waters and its great cleanliness. The small seaside resort attracts tourists from all over the world, several wealthy Russians have settled there.

A charming little town dotted with gorgeous mansions, Palm Beach is the favorite getaway for the rich and famous. We come here to enjoy the urban beach but also to shop as the famous Worth Avenue is just a few steps away. Be sure to take a bike ride along the A1A to admire the opulent residences, without missing Mar-A-Lago, the home of Donald Trump, of course.
