Newly released body cam footage shows the shocking moment a sheriff’s deputy threatened to shoot an unarmed man as he sat in his car in south Los Angeles.
The man involved in New Year’s Eve is reportedly Feezy Lebron, a Los Angeles rapper who later opened up about the incident on his Instagram account.
Lebron said he was using his cellphone while sitting in his parked car when two passing MPs approached him and ordered him out of the vehicle.
“If you take off in this car, I’ll shoot you,” the MP tells the rapper in the video. “I’ll make it super easy for you. If you start this car, you’ll get one right in the chest.’
Lebron was not arrested but was later cited for a missing license plate and then released. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said Friday it was investigating the incident.

Deputies stopped the man at 5:45 p.m. in an unincorporated area of south Los Angeles, the sheriff’s department said in a statement.
Video released by the department from the MP’s body camera shows the driver sitting in the car with the door open and another MP next to him.
The deputies order LeBron to get out of the vehicle, and when he refuses, he is told that if he does not comply, he will be arrested and his car towed.
The first deputy tries to physically remove him from the driver’s seat, and then the second deputy tells him, “I’m just going to spray you. Get out or you’ll be sprayed,” while pointing a can of pepper spray at the rapper.

Lebron can be seen in the video sitting with his hands up and saying, “So you’re going to shoot me? I’m in the damn car, bro.”

The driver eventually gets out with his hands up and is handcuffed.
As he is handcuffed, the MP is heard saying, “Unfortunately for you, you shouldn’t be smoking that much weed in your car, then we wouldn’t have to search you.”
While Lebron has not been identified as the driver by authorities, the rapper said in an Instagram post that he was the driver involved.
In the post, he identified the two MPs and urged supporters, “Let’s get that guy’s face out there before he gets a chance to MURDER a young black man sitting in his PARKED car… unarmed.”
“Remember they only want one reason to KILL you,” the post said.
While Lebron has not been identified as the driver by authorities, the rapper said in an Instagram post that he was the driver involved and urged followers to share MPs’ faces on social media

On Friday, the sheriff’s department confirmed it was investigating the incident but did not immediately say why the car was stopped and declined to identify the driver because of the ongoing investigation.
“While the department is not making statements regarding ongoing investigations, Sheriff (Robert) Luna has made it clear that he expects department staff to treat all members of the public with dignity and respect, and that personnel who fail to meet our training standards will be referred to.” be held accountable,” the statement said.
The driver was handcuffed and placed in a squad car, but was not arrested. He was eventually cited for a missing license plate and released.
