Janja Lula da Silva took part in the Altas Horas special in honor of Milton Nascimento on the first Saturday of 2023, which aired yesterday. The First Lady made an emotional statement to the singer.
- Janja explained to Milton that music is a part of her life. The speeches resonated around the internet.
- Milton retired from the stage with the “A Last Session of Music” tour. The last show was on November 13th in Belo Horizonte.
- Janja said that Bituca’s albums are part of her youth.
- Also on the program were Pitty, Duda Beat, Sandy, Samuel Rosa, Liniker, Maria Gadu and Zé Ibarra.

Meeting after the second round. Janja was in the audience alongside Sandra Annenberg and spoke emotionally about the joy she felt at being there. She was applauded as she picked up the microphone and showed off a Tshirt with the cover of the album “Geraes” (1976) printed on it.
“Milton, I asked Sandra to borrow this shirt because I had one when I was a teenager. I’ve ridden the little train that passed through Milton a lot with great pride. When I was a student, we used to go to a bar in Curitiba called Trem Azul. lots of emotion.”
Meeting after the second round. Janja says she thanked Milton after the election results.
“We met right after the second round and I couldn’t even speak, I could only cry. I kissed his hand and thanked him for being there, for giving this voice to the world.”
Milton met with Lula. Bituca said that after the result, he went to the hotel where the President and First Lady were staying.
“I got there and they said to me: ‘Janja wouldn’t let him go until you got there’. Then I went from the fourth floor to the second and everyone was there.”
Participation pleased. Hymns of praise took over the networks.
