Derek Hough and his fiancee Hayley Erbert share some laughs and smiles while shopping in LA

Derek Hough and his fiancée Hayley Erbert have had their hands full over the past few months finalizing plans for their upcoming wedding while continuing their respective careers as dancers and television personalities.

But over the weekend, the Dancing With The Stars couple appeared to be taking a short break from all the hustle and bustle and spending some time together to go shopping around town.

And while they were out, the pair had no trouble packing the PDA, moments after exiting a Fred Segal store in Los Angeles.

The duo had made it to a street corner and were staring at Erbert’s phone when something caused them both to burst out laughing.

The Topeka, Kansas native, who still held her phone up for Hough to see, couldn’t stop giggling and smiling, which was basically what her fiancé did.

Erbert, 28, showed off her casual-cool weekend look in faded blue jeans with a tan sweater and black leather boots.

To complete her overall look, the So You Think You Can Dance alum pulled her long dark locks off her shoulders and into a bun with a center part.

The pair had been dating for seven years and appeared to be fashionably coordinated as Hough wore an almost identical outfit consisting of faded blue jeans and a brown sweater, but he opted for black sneakers instead of boots.

The Utah native, 37, had his short blonde hair styled back from his face in a pseudo-pompadour with a small parting on the right side that looked near-perfect.

Eventually, Hough and Erbert were able to calm down long enough to walk back to their parked vehicle, but they still beamed their bright smiles the entire time.

From all the smiles and laughs, the couple appear to be on the mend physically and emotionally after the “scary” car accident they were involved in last month.

Erbert took to her Instagram page to share some of the details leading up to the crash, which happened less than two weeks before Christmas.

“On December 12th, Derek and I were in a pretty scary car accident up in the mountains,” she wrote in the caption of her December 23 video post.

“Our accident involved a steep hill, icy roads, a tree and, worst of all, the fear that we would slide off the mountain. Given the circumstances, we have so much to be grateful for,” she explained. “First, that no other people were involved. Second, the quick response of the paramedics. And finally, that we’re both fine and I walked away with just a little bruise, a swollen face and four stitches above my eyebrow.

Feeling humbled and grateful, the couple ended the post by talking about how life can change moment by moment.

“Now more than ever we realize how fragile life is and how important it is to love those around us. We hope everyone has a safe, healthy and happy holiday season. XO,” they wrote at the time.

After meeting in 2014, Hough and Erbert started dating the following year, and last June they decided to take their love to the next level and got engaged.

“It’s just the beginning… the beginning forever,” Hough wrote on Instagram, along with a photo of him holding his wife in front of a stunning backdrop of flowers and candles. Indeed, the couple’s engagement came right after they returned home from a week of high-profile events in Monaco, including watching the Formula 1 Grand Prix and attending the film premiere of Top Gun: Maverick.
