At this point, multiple reports indicate that Sean McVay is seriously considering retiring from coaching the Rams.

The club ended a 12-5 season with a 19-16 overtime loss to the Seahawks on Sunday — easily the worst record of McVay’s six-year tenure with the franchise.

McVay said Friday that TV offers are flattering, but at the same time he is focused on his current job.

He reiterated that after Sunday’s loss when asked directly if he would coach the Rams in 2023.

“I’m not thinking about that at the moment,” McVay said in his press conference. “Nothing has changed from where we left off on Friday. … I’m here right now and we’ll take care of those things at a later date.”

McVay was asked what makes him insecure and said he would only answer questions about the game and not about himself.

But McVay also said he didn’t think of anything “ultimate” during the game, noting he didn’t have a schedule to make a decision.

In six years under McVay, the Rams have won 60-38 and won Super Bowl LVI last season. McVay has a postseason 7-3 record, with Los Angeles having won three NFC West titles and two conference championships since being hired in 2017.
