Studio CD Projekt Red has agreed to pay $1.85 million to settle a legal dispute following its game’s chaotic launch in 2020.

The disastrous launch of Cyberpunk 2077 in late 2020 is still haunting its publisher, CD Projekt Red. The Polish company just reached an amicable settlement to settle a class-action lawsuit filed by certain investors. They had expressed their anger when the game was released, the condition of which had been assessed as deplorable on the PS4 console and Xbox One.

About two years later, CD Projekt Red, which was accused of lying to investors and consumers about the status of “Cyberpunk 2077,” agreed to pay $1.85 million. The sum, ultimately small compared to the maximum $11 million in damages the company could have paid, will be redistributed to investors who purchased shares between January 16 and December 17, 2020.
