He kidnaps and attacks his “date” Bumble

A Houston, Texas-area man has been charged with kidnapping after kidnapping a woman he met on a dating site.

According to CNN, Zachary Kent Mills held his victim captive and physically assaulted her for five days before she managed to escape.

The victim agreed to go to the apartment complex of 21-year-old Zachary Kent Mills on December 24 after meeting him through dating app Bumble.

Mills picked up the victim from her home, drove her to her apartment and immediately attempted to have sex with her, she told authorities. When she refused his sexual advances, Mills physically assaulted her and wouldn’t let her leave the apartment, CNN reported.

The victim said when Mills attacked her, he punched her in the face and bit her neck and face. When his hands were too tired to hit her, he took the handle of a screwdriver to hit her.

The victim told law enforcement that he did not provide him with food or water.

The victim was finally able to escape on December 29th. When Mills wanted to visit her father, she was able to leave the apartment and ask passers-by for help.

The victim had “severe bruising to both eyes, bite marks and lacerations to her throat and nose, and severe bruising to most of her body,” according to CNN’s complaint.

She was later able to identify Mills from her driver’s license.

Harris County prosecutors then charged Mills with first-degree aggravated kidnapping, according to the complaint, seen by CNN.
