Harvey Weinstein’s Los Angeles sentencing has been postponed while his attorneys seek a new trial.
The disgraced film mogul was found guilty of rape and other sexual assaults in December.
It was his second conviction; He was notoriously found guilty of rape and sexual assault in February 2020.
Weinstein, 70, is currently serving a 23-year sentence in New York. His lawyers are appealing this conviction.

In a second lawsuit, his lawyers are now also seeking a new trial in California.

They have not ruled on the charges related to the alleged assaults on two other women, one of whom her attorneys have identified as Jennifer Siebel Newsom, now the wife of California Gov. Gavin Newsom.
A defense motion hearing for a new trial was scheduled for February 23.
Judge Lisa Lench said Monday the sentencing will come later that day if the motion is denied.
Last June, Weinstein lost his first appeal against his verdict and his verdict in the state’s Intermediate Circuit Court of Appeals in New York.
But he has continued to appeal to the New York Superior Court of Appeals.
Rumors of Weinstein’s behavior had circulated around Hollywood for years, but his position at the forefront of the industry meant few were willing to challenge him.
That all changed in 2017 with the release of bombastic allegations against him that launched the #MeToo movement and opened the floodgates for women to speak out against sexual violence in the workplace.
Dozens of women have since claimed they were victims of Weinstein’s predatory behavior.
